Gharfolio ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website and our service for property brokers, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and a password, which is stored only in encrypted form.
Your broker profile and listings: name, photo, contact details, business details, property information and photos. You choose to publish these on your website.
Sales enquiries: when you ask us about the service, your name, business name, email, phone, city and message.
Enquiries from your website visitors: we store these on your behalf so you can see them in your dashboard.
Technical data: sign-in cookies and basic server logs needed to run and secure the service.
Visit counts on broker websites: a daily number of page visits per website, shown to the broker. No cookies are used and nothing that identifies a visitor is stored.

Why we use it

To create and run your account and your website.
To reply to your enquiries and help you set up.
To send messages about your account, such as sign-in links, approvals and plan changes.
To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Consent

We process your personal data with your consent, which you give when you register or send us an enquiry, or where the law otherwise allows. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide the service to you.

Broker websites and their visitors

Each broker is responsible for the personal data their website visitors send them, and publishes their own privacy policy on their website. We store and process that data only on the broker's behalf and on their instructions.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to host our database, files and website and to deliver emails. They process data only to provide those services to us. Some of them may store data on servers outside India. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When an account is deleted, its profile, listings, photos and enquiries are deleted. Sales enquiries are kept for as long as needed to follow up, and records may be kept longer where the law requires.

Your rights

Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct, complete or update it.
Ask us to erase it, unless we must keep it by law.
Withdraw your consent.
Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to.
Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied with our response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Broker websites do not set cookies for their visitors.

Children

The service is meant for adults running a property business. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and separation between broker accounts to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell registered brokers.
